Continuing Education Bill Becomes Law
Governor Hickenlooper has signed HB 14-1136 into law. What this means for you is that your association can continue to provide continuing education programs and credits to your members and to nonmembers in support of your mission without direct oversight by the Division of Occupational Education in the Colorado Commission of Higher Education. Non-Profit Legal Programs Scheduled for May.
The 2014 Primer and Institute on Advising Nonprofit Organizations will be held on May 1 and May 2. The May 1 Primer is designed to introduce practitioners to general aspects of the laws governing nonprofit organizations and tax-exempt. The May 2 Institute will present a in-depth analysis of legal issues of concern to nonprofit organizations. Conducted in the spring of 2013, the survey measured compensation levels, fringe benefits, personnel practices and benefits practices in 21 states, including Colorado. The 74-page report is presented in two sections, one covering the entire 21 states participating and the other covering only the state of Colorado. More information.
