CSAE presented its 2015 member recognition awards during the recent conference. Greg Williams, BA, MA, MBA, RPA, RedPoint Resources received the Association Professional of the Year Award. Overtime Rule Making Proposal
The Department of Labor has announced a proposed rule that would extend overtime protections to nearly 5 million white collar workers. The proposed rule would more than double the salary threshold under which workers qualify for overtime pay whenever they work more than 40 hours per week. Get more details.

New Board, Officers
New officers and board members were elected at the June 12 CSAE Annual Meeting. Newly elected directors are Dot Wright, Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado; Keith Segundo, Limitless Association Solution Resource; Michael Gifford, Associated General Contractors of Colorado; and Devon Binder, CMM, CMP. Mark Williams, Apartment Association of Metro Denver is the new Secretary-Treasurer. Jama Rice, MBA, CAE Museum Store Association, is President. Greg Williams, BA, MA, MBA, RPA, Principal, Redpoint Resources, LLC, is Past President. Brian Stockman, American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers is President-Elect.
New Compensation Survey Report Available
The 2015 Association Executive Compensation and Benefits Survey report is now available. The new survey measured compensation levels, fringe benefits, personnel practices and benefits practices in 26 states, including Colorado. The report is presented in two sections, one covering the entire 26 states participating and the other covering only the state of Colorado. View the table of contents. Purchase the survey report.
CSAE Offers New Qualified Association Specialist Program
SAE has partnered with the Florida Society of Association Executives to offer a new, affordable educational program for association industry professionals. The online Qualified Association Specialist (QAS) Certificate Program provides a broad base view of the principles in association management for all staff. CSAE Now CMP Preferred Provider
CSAE has been designated as a CMP Preferred Provider. If a program offered by CSAE meets the requirements for continuing education (CE) credit for the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential, it will be identified with the CMP Preferred Provider logo and will include the number of CE credits attendees will receive for participating.
