The Informed Association: Getting Results Out of Your Research

CAE Prep Course
Offered by the Michigan Society of Association Executives, the CAE Prep Course for the December exam begins August 25. The curriculum covers strategic management; planning and research; leadership; administration; knowledge management and much more! If you are planning to take the December CAE exam, MSAE offers three different courses. The full and concentrated courses are offered online so you can set your own schedule. Changes in the CAE Program for 2015
ASAE has announced a number of changes in the CAE program to take effect in 2015: 1) A new study guide preparing individuals for the May 2015 exam; 2) An update to the Exam Content Outline; 3) Revised domain area names and numbers; and 4) Changes in those who are eligible to obtain a CSAE designation. These changes will take effect for the May 2015 CAE exam. Click for more information.

When some projects seem overwhelming, it’s time to start using checklists. To achieve the results, the adage, “when eating an elephant --- take one bite at a time,” promotes breaking big jobs into small tasks. Checklists detail the best ways to accomplish projects. CSAE 2013 Association Executive Compensation and Benefits Study Available
Conducted in the spring of 2013, the survey measured compensation levels, fringe benefits, personnel practices and benefits practices in 21 states, including Colorado. The 74-page report is presented in two sections, one covering the entire 21 states participating and the other covering only the state of Colorado. More information.
