MIC Conference Scholarships
The Meetings Industry Council of Colorado has announced that there are a limited number of supplier sponsored scholarships available to qualified planners to attend this year’s MIC Annual Conference & Trade Show at the Colorado Convention Center on March 12, 2014. If interested, meeting and event planners can download an application from the CSAE web site.
New CAE Recipients
Six Coloradans have recently received their Certified Association Executive credential from ASAE. These newly credentialed industry leaders are now amongst a class of more than 4,000 of their industry peers. The six new CAEs are Beau Ballinger, CAE, Senior Program Specialist, AARP Foundation; Heidi May Gordon, CAE, Director of Marketing & Communications, American Society of Bariatric Physicians; Betty Knecht, CMP, CAE, VP Events & Education, Apartment Association of Metro Denver; Stephanie Lasser, CMP, CAE, Director of Conferences, Investment Management Consultants Association; Lisa Michele Lawrie-Munro, CAE, Executive Director, American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers; and Stephanie Stephens, CAE, Executive Director, Colorado Parks and Recreation Association.

MIC Educational Conference and Trade Show
The 14th Annual MIC Educational Conference and Trade Show will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014. MIC of Colorado will host over 100 exhibitors and 900 meeting and event professionals, association executives and industry suppliers. ASAE Issues Call for DELP Candidates
ASAE launched a call for candidates for the 2014–2016 class of the Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP), an accelerated leadership program of education and volunteer service in the association community. Candidates who demonstrate exemplary leadership skills and a commitment to advancing the association community, have at least three years of mid-senior level association management experience or at least one year of experience as an association CEO, and are members of a racial/ethnic minority group, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender, or have a disability are encouraged to apply. Milestones of Membership
Thirty CSAE members have reached 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 years of membership in CSAE. Each of the individuals will receive CSAE pins commemorating their participation in and contributions to CSAE and the association industry. The complete list.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has announced its schedule of summer Institutes for Organization Management: June 1-5, University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI; June 22-26, University of Georgia, Athens, GA; July 13-17, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA, and July 27- July 31, Villanova University, Villanova, PA. CSAE 2013 Association Executive Compensation and Benefits Study Available
Conducted in the spring of 2013, the survey measured compensation levels, fringe benefits, personnel practices and benefits practices in 21 states, including Colorado. The 74-page report is presented in two sections, one covering the entire 21 states participating and the other covering only the state of Colorado. More information.
